Welcome to the
2008 CANADIAN TRAPSHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIPS
Thursday, June 26 to Sunday, June 29, 2008
Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada
A 12 GAUGE SALUTE TO OUR AMERICAN SHOOTERS!!!

We are very much looking forward to seeing many of our great competitors and friends from across the border. And rest assured, it isn’t as hard as you may have been informed to bring your guns into Canada.

We have been honoured regularly by the presence of our great shooting friends from Michigan, New York, Ohio and Virginia and Pennsylvania for our annual Provincial Shoot, the largest in Canada. They can tell you how simple it is to come in here - even if you don't own a Kolar.
(Editor's note: What can i say, I love my kolar!)"

Here’s what you need to know:

If coming by land or by sea, currently you simply need your government issued driver's licence and birth certificate. Your Department of State recently announced the creation of a "passport card", which will also be accepted for land or sea border entries. It is coming to you at less than ½ the cost of a passport and it’s good for ten years. Here’s the website with all the details.

If you are flying here, there are two airports you may wish to consider flying into:
Hamilton International Airport: YHM
(about 20 minutes from the Hamilton Gun Club)
or
Pearson (Toronto) International Airport : YYZ
(about 45-60 minutes to the club, depending on traffic)

And if you are coming by air, you will need a full-fledge passport, the passport card will not be accepted.

For the simple procedure to follow and the paperwork you will need to bring your guns into Canada, is clearly explained on Joe Potosky’s very informative website: www.losttarget.com

The cost to bring your firearms into Canada is a mere $25.00 (Cdn.) per receiver…not per barrel! We will be happy to issue anyone coming here from another country to compete in the 2008 Canadian, a personal invitation accompanied by a programme.

Please email Barbara@2008canadian.com or call our toll free number to request this or for any other questions regarding your entry to Canada and how we can help you: 1-877-809-9995

The Stars and Stripes will be flying high to welcome y’all!
